Try reading this. Came across it a while back while I was just surfing, and happened (some how) to stumble upon it. I found it pretty funny, though I understand why the managers would be so..angst (would that be the right word??) Wonder what it'll take to pull something like that off...

...course I wouldn't do it, but it'd be interesting to see it happen...hehe =P Also check out the Cell Phone Symphony one under "Missions" if you get the chance..much shorter, but still kinda fun.

And had a fun night watching Play! with everyone on Saturday night. The Super Mario theme was fun..and reminded me of this. Woulda been fun to see that at OUR talent show.

Whoo hoo! Weekend's finally here ^_^

Anyhoo, the other day, I was listening to the radio while I was working, and the hosts mentioned something kinda funny, I guess you could say. Listen to a part of this song that I cut (it's Jessica Simpson's new song titled Public Affair)

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=473B8C917851242E

Listen to it carefully and tell me what you hear about 7 seconds in.

Now, I know it's probably SUPPOSED to be "all the cameras come out for a public affair", and that's probably what you would think, cause it would..well...make sense. If you didn't get it though. it sounds like she's saying "all the CAMELS come out for a public affair". lol..this topic was actually the subject of conversation on the radio station..and ppl called in to say if they hear camels or cameras..
Maybe it was funnier when I was listening to it...
Too bad the music video for that wasn't a bunch of camels running around though XD

There was something else...but as usual, I forgot....oh well

heh

Edit: adding more stuff. Anyone watch "America's got talent"? Some are pretty funny and cool..lol..some clips from the tryouts...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaymiT3_6Cc&search=america%27s%20got%20talent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlXcl_UGT7Y&search=america%27s%20got%20talent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HNwL5D4epQ&search=kevin%20johnson <--- This guy's AWESOME...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpLTM08nieo&search=america%27s%20got%20talent <--- this act was pretty cool
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fjcxj96bxdE&search=rapping%20granny

Emm...about my blow-up yesterday...sorry about that. I don't usually get like that...guess my emotions just got to me?

Anyways, after that, I went to the Jays game with my brother. I've never been before...to ANY live sporting even, so you can imagine how excited I was. (Thank you SOOOOOO much for the tickets anisky0703) They were pretty good seats, so I had a pretty good clear view of most things, except that we had to rely on the ump to tell us whether it's a ball or strike. And wow..what an amazing game. I think if I woulda chosen any to go to, it probably would have been this one. Vernon Wells hit 3HRs and Troy Glaus hit 2 himself. It's actually really fun right when it comes off the bat. Everyone's so into the game htat you can't help but to like react with them. When Wells hit that third HR in the bottom of the eighth, the whole stadium went crazy, and stayed really loud in the ninth, when B.J. Ryan ended the game in a stikeout..
What a game that was...so enjoyable. Makes for a good memory =)

bt that was all ruined this morning, when I founf out that I forgot to give the keys to the locks for the restaurant to someone and therefore left it inside the restaurant...causeing my coworkers to have to wait an hour and a half for someone to bring the keys...I'm SUCH a stupid dofus...

*hits head repeatedly on the wall...again..and again..and again...*

Oh, an I got the thing you wanted Anisky...I'll bring it saturday.....it's white+pink...hope it was the right choice....

    <lj:music>Cascada - Everytime we touch</lj:music>

I think I'm gonna plan on doing one of these every once in a while - stats for a Toronto team that might actually go somewhere this year =P
Yep, the Blue Jays, who are doing quite well this year, despite the fact that we're in third place in the A.L east. (prays that the Yanks and Red Sox go on a slump soon) Anyways, yea, we're doing really well offenisvely this year, and we'd probably be first in our division had it not been for our bad pitching at times...anyways, an analysis on some stats:

Vernon Wells CF: hitting .355 with 10 HR, 32 RBI, and an OBP of .404 - good enough for 22nd in the league. Really good for someone that's a perennial slow starter. Usually in the first month or so in past seasons, he hits for a .200 Avg with like 2 HR or something of that sort. Actually, he's doing extremely well, cause he's also top 15 in HRs and top 10 in batting Avg. (A funny moment was when he hit a homer at Roger's Center and it broke one of the TV screens there)

Troy Glaus 3B: hitting .265 with 12 HR, 32 RBI and 33 SO. One of our big aquisitions of the offesason, and is giving just what was expected of him - hits with lots of power, gets lots of HRs and strikes out a lot. Comes with the territory I guess. He's doing well though, being top 5 in HRs in the league.

Alex Rios RF: hitting .360 with 8 HR and 28 RBI. All I've got to say about this guy is..wow. The surprise of the young season no doubt. He's top 5 in the league in batting Avg and was hitting close to .400 not too long ago, and has made huge improvements from last year. Compare those stats with his FINAL stats of last year: hit .262 with 10 HR and 59 RBI..I'd say it's a huge improvement.

Roy Halladay SP: 5 - 1 with 2.74 ERA with 24 SO and only 8 BB in 49.1 IP and 2CG. Our star, savior, whatever you want to call it. Except for his first start or 2, this guy has been simply amazing. The rate at which he's finishing games is just astounding too. In his past 2 or 3 starts, the games have all finished in only about 2 hours. On average, baseball games are about 3 hours long. I think I started watching a game about an hour after it started and it was already like the 5th inning..heh..surprised the heck outta me.

B.J. Ryan CP: 0.51 ERA with 19 SO, 3 BB and 6 H in 17.2 IP, giving us 8 SV in 8 SVO - perfect in save oppertunities. He's one of our other big off-season aquisitions. For now, I think he's worth every bit of that $9.7 million a year contract we gave him. He just mows down every batter when he's in the game.

Most of our other hitters are doing pretty well too, hitting for pretty high averages and getting clutch hitting from many of the guys.
However, there's a couple of reasons why we're third in the east and not first, taking away the fact that we're in the same division as the Yankees and Red Sox..

Josh Towers SP: 1 - 7 with 8.45 ERA. Before the last game, he was 0 - 7 with an ERA >10, which is unacceptable imo when you're talking about a starting pitcher. overall, he's probably been the worst player on our team in the early season. Granted he had an excellent start in his last start. I hope it means he's back to form and doing well again, and it wasn't just a lucky day (then again, we WERE playing against Tampa Bay....)

Russ Adams SS: 5E (thought it was 8..). Not doing so well on the field. There was a stretch of about 3 or 4 games where I was wondering if he's ever make a throw that was on target. I think a couple of errors cost us a couple of games, though he did give us a cople of clutch hits before.

Aaron Hill: htting .195 with an OBP of .227, 'nuff said. He's in a hitting slump - pretty big one, though his good defence does make up for it somewhat.

Not much else to say about the team. I'd say they're doing well, and it's fun to watch them (most of you would probably disagree). It's also funny to see our catcher, Bengie Molina, running the bases. He's kinda big and he's got to be one of, of not THE, slowest person in baseball. He's good though, pretty good defence and has a pretty good bat, so it's all good...heh.

Anyways, that's it for today...If anyone's actually interested in what everything means, then leave a comment ^^

Oh, and this is for anisky0703
Mon. May 22nd - Wed May 26th: vs. Tampa Bay
Fri. May 26 - Sun. May 28 (Vernon Wells Bobble Head Day!!! XD): vs. Chicago White Sox
Mon. May 29 - Wed. May 31: vs. Boston Red Sox

Lemme know when you want, exept maybe not the Tues vs Tampa....any other is fine I think

I was scrummaging around my computer and came across something kinda interesting. They were some <strike>really corny </strike>pickup lines that I had found on some site a while ago. Not just any pickup lines mind you, no they're pickup lines for...wait for it....ENGINEERS..or possibly mathematicians and maybe scientists too.
Anyways, here goes:

1. I won't stop bugging you until I get the address of your home page.

2. Let's convert our potential energy to kinetic energy.

3. Wanna come back to my room and see my 166mhz Pentium?

4. How about you and I go back to my place and form a covalent bond?

5. You're sweeter than glucose.

6. We're as compatible as two similar Power Macintoshes.

7. Wanna see the programs in my HP-48GX?

8. Your body has the nicest arc length I've ever seen.

9. You're hotter than a bunsen burner set to full power!

10. My love for you is like a concave up function because it is always increasing.

11. I wish i was cos^2x and you were sin^2x so we can be one.

12. Your charm and beauty is like a circle...it never ends.

Some of them aren't all that great. I burst out laughing when I read #11 though. <strike>Yes, I'm a nerd</strike>. I wanna actually SEE someone using that one, as in physically be there, while they're saying it, and then see the reaction it gives. (apparently, it's supposed to work, which is why I'm intrigued XD)
I'll even up the ante - I'll buy a drink for whoever's willing to use it ^^

And no, don't even think about asking me to use them...I REFUSE! =P

    <lj:music>I Turn To You - All 4 One</lj:music>

Bah...why is there only 24 hours in one day?...or maybe the question is, why do I just waste a lot of it.
Actually, I've been pretty productive today *pats on back*...until about now, so maybe that pat was unwarrented. There's something about sitting in front of the computer that just makes you not want to work. I'd get off, but the only problem is, I HAVE to use the computer to study, cause I've got an autoCAD midterm tomorrow...or maybe it's an end-term, given the timing. Yea...after my transport test today *which I really hope I did well in...i SHOULD have done fairly well*, finished up my assignment, which was stupidly tedious. Didn't end up leaving school til 10:30. THIS SHOULN'T HAPPEN!! especially since I didn't get to do all the things I wanted to at school. =P

Anyways, as sciel has already mentioned, end of the year is coming soon. Luckily for her, she ends on the 28th, while, thanks to my elective, I don't end til the 2nd. An extra weekend of working..whoppee!!!!!! Although I'm happy with my end-of-year schedule, as it's pretty spread apart, 'cept for that one, which starts at 9:30...i HATE morning ones, cause I'm SO not a morning thinker...

We should plan something for afterwards ^^
(OOHHH...how about a game of Risk one day people? Just gather around and watch as I claim global domination on all of you!! XD*)

Anyways..enough moaning and groaning..and, as you all probably realized..I tried really hard to avoid the dreaded "e" word...*shudders*

On a brighter note, much thanks to hirukun for setting up the symphony thing. I'm really looking forward to it. Dressing up..it's an interesting concept :P

Ok, back to AutoCAD now....

(*Disclaimer - This statement does not reflect the actual skill level of the author. In fact, you could probably pummel him in the game. Then again, he's won a fight to save a continent while going 1 vs 6, so beware the wrathe of the defence. =P)

Here's a litlle gib (is that real word? might someone help me if it isnt right?) that I found while surfing a forum. Apparently it's true?..but I'm not 100% sure. Anyways,

"Divert your course:
This is an actual conversation of a US Navel ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. Radio conversaion released by chief of navel operations, 10-10-95.

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid collision.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees south to avoid collision.

Americans: This is the captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: This is Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second largest ship in the United States Atlantic Fleet. We are accompanied with three Destroyers, three Cruisers and numerous support vessels. I DEMAND that you change your course 15 degrees north. I say again, that's one-five degrees north, or counter-measures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.

Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call."

hehe

...I should really get an avatar/userpic soon.....
